Donate to the Berryman Institute

The Jack H. Berryman Institute (BI) is an international organization housed in the Quinney College of Agriculture and Natural Resources at Utah State University. The BI publishes the only scientific journal—Human–Wildlife Interactions—dedicated to reporting research, management case studies, and policy perspectives designed to enhance human-wildlife interactions.

We work with our partners and stakeholders to reduce human-wildlife conflicts through research, education, extension, and outreach. We leverage our resources alongside those of our partners to develop the best available science, outreach, and education. Our efforts focus on increasing opportunities for wildlife and humans to coexist by mitigating conflicts that contribute to wildlife population decline and heightened health and safety risks for humans. We seek strategies to reduce human-wildlife conflict that produce sustainable use of natural resources and include multi-user groups on private, state, and federal lands.
